[September 13, 2007] - Oh, the good old, "Were you abused as a child?" question! Believe it or not, I get asked this a LOT! No, nobody sexually abused me in my childhood. My parents were middle-class all the way, baby! I will not white-wash my childhood and paint it out to be all sunshine and rainbows, but there are a lot of people whose childhoods were worse. My stock answer for this is always, "Because my daddy didn't love me and I am still seeking the approval of men." I say it very campy and giggle as I do so. Is it the truth? Sadly, on some levels it probably is. I was actually in need of extra income and saw an ad in the newspaper for "internet models". This was back in 1995, so it was a fairly new term. I had experience in runway modeling, tea room, print and had been in a pageant, so I thought I would give it a try. I was shocked when I found out what it really was! Shocked, but apparently, a 'natural'. I started my own website in 1998. I won the KSEX Viewers Choice Award for "Favorite Amateur PornStar of the Year" for 2003. That prompted me to consider shooting a scene. The rest, as they say is history. As for looking for fame or fortune. There is only one Jenna, only one Jill Kelly. I do not need to be rich OR famous. I just don't want to be fast-forwarded over! I want to do the best I can in each scene I shoot and not dread a release date on something because I know I tanked it.
